Amy specializes in what she calls “lifestyle redesign”, family, children’s and mothers health, as well as natural skincare. She runs a prominent group in Austin called the Austin Non-Toxic Moms group, where parents meet and discuss non-toxic subject matter facing families today.
Her love affair with all things natural and holistic began when her dad gave her his old camera when she entered high school. She would snap pictures of herbs and flowers and the intricate beauty was amazing. She then married a botanist & permaculturist and dived into the natural world even more. Growing herbs and food turned from a hobby to necessity crafting nature’s medicine that helped friends and family in times of need. When her daughter was born, her focus turned to food, shortly after her daughter was diagnosed with several food allergies at 6 months old. Her family began to read food labels and understand that what they were eating wasn’t natural. In fact, most things labeled “food” in the grocery store wasn’t really food at all. Her studies of natural health have taken her through the years of many holistic modalities and she admits she will always be a student of natural health, gaining knowledge every day.
